"This notebook is created by Ghibli Museum × Haibara Chiyogami collaboration (Haibara is a long-established Japanese paper shop with a history of 200 years).
An elegant design combining peony and arabesque, which are often seen in crafts introduced from China in the Muromachi period. It has a gorgeous atmosphere like the interior of the oil shop in "Spirited Away".
Peony means "wealth" and arabesque means "eternity".
Various characters such as Kaonashi's mask, Bo mouse, flybird, and Susuwatari are hidden in the pattern.
The chiyogami called "Yuzen paper" was used. It was printed by applying the technique of "Yuzen dyeing" for dyeing kimono. Chiyogami refers to Japanese hand-screened decorative kozo washi paper consisting of repetitive patterns. Chiyogami is so strong and durable that you can sew on it and use it in textile art.
It is a carefully finished notebook with high-quality paper that is smooth to write on and thread binding that opens 180 degrees."
